Q: What is the IMLE?

A: The Institute for Marxist-Leninist Education (IMLE) is a public and free educational organization with the expressed purpose of providing the working class with revolutionary education. The IMLE is officially associated with the American Council of Bolsheviks (ACB), a Marxist-Leninist pre-party formation.

Q: What does the IMLE do?

A: IMLE provides public and free Marxist-Leninist education in the form of live and online classes, texts/books, videos, audiobooks, and other formats.

Q: Who runs IMLE?

A: IMLE is run by a board of directors comprised of 10 people who meet monthly to organize, run, and administer the institute’s work. Each director is elected by a majority vote to become a member of the board. The IMLE is also assisted by volunteers who provide invaluable services, from the translation of materials to moderation on our various platforms.

Q: How are classes structured?

A: Classes are held online every other Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. EST. Lessons are centered around collective discussion, critically analyzing texts from a Marxist-Leninist perspective, and relating readings to the present-day class struggle. We are working towards having live in-person classes throughout the country.
